Our Process

An important thing that you should know about Artisan Theater Seating is that we have a national footprint. If your project is in the 48 contiguous states, that is totally doable for us. Our boundaries could be even larger, but no one has asked us yet.

Because of the level of complexity and customization of our custom theater seating projects, it is highly probable that we will work directly with you on some level, and almost certainly on the fine tuning of the seating configuration. That said, we do 95% of our projects without ever seeing the room until we deliver and install the furniture.

If we can get accurate dimensions and a proper understanding of the dynamics of the room, we can create a custom theater seating configuration specified to fit your room’s capabilities and your seating style preferences (all chairs; chairs and sectional; loungers and chairs, etc.)

We love getting drawings! If they’re from an architect or a designer, so much the better. With our average order being eight seats (two rows of four), every room is going to have a riser, and as skilled theater designers, if we can assist in its design before it gets done improperly before our introduction to the project, so much the better.

We just need to have as detailed an understanding of the room as possible, and from there we can create a room that is perfectly suited to fit your needs. We have a true, active level of engagement in 100% of our projects. We’re in the “50 projects a year business,” not in the “50 orders a week” business.

We geek out on high quality drawings, but as long as the dimensions are accurate, it would not be the first time that we have sketched a room on a cocktail napkin on an airplane. We are true builders of theaters, after all, and not just “shippers of boxes.”

We can work with hand drawn or proper architectural drawings, as long as the dimensions are correct.
