In the world of mass-produced home theater seating, we understand that the category must conform to a certain amount of a “one size fits all” mentality, but do they all have to look exactly the same? Is that a true representation of just how commoditized this market segment has become?

We don’t know (or care) how many different manufacturers compete for this high-volume/no-margin arena. It is actually quite difficult to differentiate one from another, because of the indistinguishable similarity between the collective amount of these manufacturers. There are some who promote themselves as having 4-6 different chair styles (which have no style), but they all seem to still look mostly the same. Between our two manufacturing partners, Cinema Tech and Fortress Seating, we are able to offer the consumer more than Seventy distinctly different chair models. While beauty is in the eye of the beholder, there isn’t a single chair in either of our partners respective lineups that resembles the bulky black stuff. We show 14 different styles of chair models in our 1,105 square foot design studio in theMart.
