Artisan Theater Seating is a wholly owned subsidiary of Artisan Electronics Group, a Chicago based residential electronics contractor now in its third decade in business. Our sister company, AEG Home Theaters, is a specialist in the magical world of creating some of the most sensational, high-performance residential cinema rooms in the world.

In the United States, there are fewer than a dozen companies for whom their entire business proposition is centered around the complete design-build process for these unique rooms. AEG Home Theaters is one of those companies, and to the best of our knowledge, the only one not located on one of the coasts.

The emergence of Artisan Theater Seating as the nation’s leading purveyor of custom and semi-custom luxury theater seating has come about as a logical extension of our theater building business. As our craft as highly skilled theater builders progressively evolved, we came to realize how important it is to offer our customers a quality seating solution, to be at the very least of equal caliber to what we have done with electronics for years, if not greater!

We have been thrilled to realize that there is in fact a very real demand for this specialized category of furniture. Our “all in” effort to become a major player in the luxury theater seating business coincides directly with the opening of our sensational design studio in Chicago’s legendary Merchandise Mart, in 2017.
