We are amazed by how many people don’t understand what an important role quality seating can contribute to every aspect of the room. Visually speaking, almost nothing defines the overall “look” of the room more than the seating. This is true regardless of whether the seating design is something traditional and understated or something very bold and intentionally stunning. In a similar sense, the same can be said of the quality of the seating, and the role that plays in the overall look and comfort of the room. Unfortunately, there is an enormous amount of very poor-quality theater seating in the marketplace, and this is often what people are led to when they do an internet search of the category.

More often than not, this furniture positions its primary benefit as one of being price driven, with the logical extension of that being that it is inevitably of substandard build quality as well. It might look “okay” on the internet, and in the short term it might look good in your home…until it starts to fall apart.

Since founding Artisan Theater Seating in 2016, it has never been our intention to compete for the $999 (or less) theater chair. Based on a quick internet search, one can see that this is already a very crowded (overcrowded) space, with everyone competing for a customer whose primary purchasing criteria is all about price, as in lowest price possible.

Our market position has been to become a resource for the design trade as well as direct to the consumer, to offer a far better solution for those who are looking for a high quality, high style alternative to the “any color you want as long as it’s black” world of inexpensive, poorly fabricated theater seating.
